Description
Cluster of differentiation 40, CD40 is a costimulatory protein found on antigen presenting cells and is required for their activation. The binding of CD154 (CD40L) on TH cells to CD40 activates antigen presenting cells and induces a variety of downstream effects. [Wiki]
Application Notes
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points.Titration of the CD40 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Immunogen
A portion of amino acids 29-107 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the CD40 antibody.
Storage
Store the CD40 antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
