Complex II of the respiratory chain, which is specificallyinvolved in the oxidation of succinate, carries electrons from FADHto CoQ. The complex is composed of four nuclear-encoded subunitsand is localized in the mitochondrial inner membrane. Theiron-sulfur subunit is highly conserved and contains threecysteine-rich clusters which may comprise the iron-sulfur centersof the enzyme. Sporadic and familial mutations in this gene resultin paragangliomas and pheochromocytoma, and support a link betweenmitochondrial dysfunction and tumorigenesis.
Titration of the SDHB antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 205-234 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this SDHB antibody.
Aliquot the SDHB antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
