The protein encoded by this gene mediates transcriptionalcontrol by interaction with the Kruppel-associated box repressiondomain found in many transcription factors. The protein localizesto the nucleus and is thought to associate with specific chromatinregions. The protein is a member of the tripartite motif family. This tripartite motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING,a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the KAP1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 178-207 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the KAP1 antibody.
Aliquot the KAP1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
