This gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, asubfamily of the cadherin superfamily. This gene encodes a proteinwhich contains 6 extracellular cadherin domains, a transmembranedomain and a cytoplasmic tail differing from those of the classicalcadherins. Although its specific function is undetermined, thecadherin-related neuronal receptor is thought to play a role in theestablishment and function of specific cell-cell connections in thebrain.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the Protocadherin 20 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 445-472 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the Protocadherin 20 antibody.
Aliquot the Protocadherin 20 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
