Three different procarboxypeptidases A and two differentprocarboxypeptidases B have been isolated. The B1 and B2 formsdiffer from each other mainly in isoelectric point.Carboxypeptidase B1 is a highly tissue-specific protein and is auseful serum marker for acute pancreatitis and dysfunction ofpancreatic transplants. It is not elevated in pancreatic carcinoma.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the Carboxypeptidase B antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 9-37 from the human CBP1 protein was used as the immunogen for the Carboxypeptidase B antibody.
Aliquot the Carboxypeptidase B antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
