Recognizes the D1 domain of an N-glycosylated glycoprotein of 120kDa with intra-chain disulfide bonds, identified as CD50 or ICAM-3. CD50 is the major ligand for LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and may have signaling role to increase adhesion. It is expressed on thymocytes and T lymphocytes and is resistant to treatment with phosphatidylinositol (PI) phospholipase C. This mAb is excellent for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.

Optimal dilution of the anti-ICAM-3 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in pH 9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.

Stimulated human leukocytes were used as the immunogen for the anti-ICAM-3 antibody.

Store the anti-ICAM-3 antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
