Description
Chromosomal segregation during mitosis as well as meiosis is regulated by kinases and phosphatases. The Aurora kinases associate with microtubules during chromosome movement and segregation. STK12 (Aurora kinase B) localizes to microtubules near kinetochores, specifically to the specialized microtubules called K-fibers, and Aurora kinase A localizes to centrosomes
Application Notes
Titration of the Aurora B antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Immunogen
A portion of amino acids 283-313 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this Aurora B antibody.
Storage
Aliquot the Aurora B antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
