The protein encoded by this gene is a member of theTNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is preferentially expressedin mature B lymphocytes, and may be important for B celldevelopment and autoimmune response. This receptor has been shownto specifically bind to the tumor necrosis factor (ligand)superfamily, member 13b (TNFSF13B/TALL-1/BAFF), and to lead toNF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK activation. This receptor also binds tovarious TRAF family members, and thus may transduce signals forcell survival and proliferation.
Titration of the BCMA antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 63-92 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this BCMA antibody.
Aliquot the BCMA antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
