Description
DEAD box proteins are RNA helicases involved in cellular processes involving the alteration of RNA secondary structure.DDX4, DEAD box polypeptide 4, is the mammalian homolog of the Drosophila VASA gene.DDX4 is expressed solely in ovarian and testicular germ cells and therefore a useful germ cell lineage marker and possible useful biomarker for germ cell cancers.
Application Notes
Provided assay concentrations are suggestions only, antibody titration may be required for optimal results.
Immunogen
A recombinant protein fragment from the C-terminal region of DDX4/VASA was used as the immunogen for the DDX4 antibody.
Storage
Aliquot the DDX4 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
