This gene encodes an Estrogen receptor, a ligand-activatedtranscription factor composed of several domains important forhormone binding, DNA binding, and activation of transcription. Estrogen and its receptorsare essential for sexual development and reproductive function, butalso play a role in other tissues such as bone. ERsare also involved in pathological processes including breastcancer, endometrial cancer, and osteoporosis.

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the Estrogen Receptor antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

A portion of amino acids 246-273 from the human protein (alpha) was used as the immunogen for this Estrogen Receptor antibody.

Store at 4oC for up to one month. For long term, aliquot the Estrogen Receptor antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
