IL-6 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor that stimulates the growth and survivability of certain B-cells and T-cells. IL-6 plays a role in host defense, acute phase reactions, immune responses, and hematopoiesis. IL-6 is expressed by T-cells, B-cells, monocytes, fibroblasts, hepatocytes, endothelial cells and keratinocytes.

The concentration stated for each application is a general starting point.Variations in protocols, secondaries and substrates may require the IL-6 antibody to be titered up or down for optimal performance.

Recombinant mouse IL-6 protein was used as the immunogen for this antibody.

Store the IL-6 antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
