IRF1 encodes interferon regulatory factor 1, a member ofthe interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) family. IRF1serves as an activator of interferons alpha and beta transcription,and in mouse it has been shown to be required for double-strandedRNA induction of these genes. IRF1 also functions as atranscription activator of genes induced by interferons alpha,beta, and gamma. Further, IRF1 has been shown to play roles inregulating apoptosis and tumor-suppressoion.

Titration of the IRF-1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

A portion of amino acids 74-102 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this IRF-1 antibody.

Aliquot the IRF-1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
