This gene encodes a member of the CATERPILLER family ofcytoplasmic proteins. The encoded protein, which contains anN-terminal pyrin domain, a NACHT domain, a NACHT-associated domain, and a C-terminus leucine-rich repeat region, functions as anattenuating factor of inflammation by suppressing inflammatoryresponses in activated monocytes. Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants encoding distinct isoforms have been described but thefull-length nature of some of these has not been determined.
Titration of the NLRP12 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 183-212 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this NLRP12 antibody.
Aliquot the NLRP12 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
