This gene encodes a member of the NOX family of NADPHoxidases. These enzymes have the capacity to generate superoxideand other reactive oxygen species (ROS) and transport electronsacross the plasma membrane. The ROS generated by family membershave been implicated in numerous biological functions includinghost defense, posttranlational processing of proteins, cellularsignaling, regulation of gene expression, and cell differentiation. The protein encoded by this gene is expressed predominantly in theinner ear and is involved in the biogenesis of otoconia/otolith,which are crystalline structures of the inner ear involved in theperception of gravity.
Titration of the NOX3 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 73-102 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this NOX3 antibody.
Aliquot the NOX3 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
