This gene encodes a member of the neurotrophic tyrosinekinase receptor (NTKR) family. This kinase is a membrane-boundreceptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself andmembers of the MAPK pathway. The presence of this kinase leads tocell differentiation and may play a role in specifying sensoryneuron subtypes. Mutations in this gene have been associated withcongenital insensitivity to pain, anhidrosis, self-mutilatingbehavior, mental retardation and cancer. Alternate transcriptionalsplice variants of this gene have been found, but only three havebeen characterized to date.

Titration of the NTRK1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

This NTRK1 antibody was produced from a mouse immunized with NTRK1 recombinant protein.

Aliquot the NTRK1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
