Thrombomodulin/THBD/TM/CD141 is a specific endothelial cell receptor that forms a 1:1 stoichiometric complex with thrombin. This complex is responsible for the conversion of protein C to the activated protein C (protein Ca). Once evolved, protein Ca scissions the activated cofactors of the coagulation mechanism, factor Va and factor VIIIa, and thereby reduces the amount of thrombin generated. [UniProt]

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the Thrombomodulin antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

A portion of amino acids 92-126 from human THBD was used as the immunogen for the Thrombomodulin antibody.

Aliquot the Thrombomodulin antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
