Description
This gene encodes a member of the tubulin superfamily. Theencoded protein localizes to the centrosome where it binds tomicrotubules as part of a complex referred to as the gamma-tubulinring complex. The protein mediates microtubule nucleation and isrequired for microtubule formation and progression of the cellcycle. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 7.
Application Notes
Titration of the TUBG1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Immunogen
A portion of amino acids 23-51 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this TUBG1 antibody.
Storage
Aliquot the TUBG1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
