This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat proteinfamily. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD),which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiproteincomplexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety ofcellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signaltransduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. This protein contains7 WD repeats. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encodingthe same protein have been identified.
Titration of the WDR5 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 12-40 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this WDR5 antibody.
Aliquot the WDR5 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
